Pigs share misery with socialism

How does one catch wild pigs? Step One: Find a suitable place in the woods, and put corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come daily to eat the free corn. Allow them to get used to coming every day to eat the free corn. Step Two: Now put a fence down one side of the area where they are used to coming. After they get used to the fence, they’ll begin to eat the corn again. Step Three: Now put up another side of the fence. Then they’ll get used to that side and start to eat again. Step Four: Continue until all sides are up with a gate on the last side.

Now after the pigs go through the gate to eat, slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly, the pigs have lost their freedom. They run around inside the fence, but they’re now caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn, and accept their captivity.

This is what’s happening in America. The free corn of socialism is being spread, and freedoms are being incrementally lost. As Winston Churchill said, “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”

I’ve heard it also said, “A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have.”

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23)
