CNN reported that Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian mass murderer, was a “right-wing, Christian fundamentalist.” If you recall, Timothy McVeigh was also said to be a Christian. He was not, and neither is Breivik. While McVeigh rejected God altogether, Breivik writes in his manifesto that he is not religious, has doubts about God’s existence and does not pray.
Eric Rudolf, the Olympic Park bomber, was also described as a Christian fundamentalist. Rudolf has stated he prefers Nietzsche to the Bible. Nietzsche is best known for the phrase “God is dead.”
Conservative talk radio, Sarah Palin and the tea party were blamed regarding Jared Loughner’s shooting rampage in January. He has been identified as an atheist and a nihilist. An ardent atheist, Loughner has characterized people as sheep whose free will was being sapped by the government and the monotony of modern life.
Media are quick to demonize “right-wing Christian fundamentalism.” Attack Christianity in as many ways possible. In reality, Christianity is the solution and not the problem in America.
America has become a nation desensitized to immorality. That’s because America has rebelled against biblical direction. The humanistic media, by design, has enhanced and fostered this rebellion against God and is quick to take cheap, deceitful and irresponsible shots at Christianity when and where opportunities present themselves. That’s because some in Christianity stand up for what’s right and point out the blatant and misguided direction that many in America are now pursuing as individuals and as a nation.
