Russia re-establishing itself as superpower
A Russian military vessel recently docked at a Havana naval base. According to Russia’s defense minister, Sergei Shoigu, Russia is looking to build military bases in Vietnam, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, the Seychelles, Singapore and several other countries. Some may suggest that the move to put military bases in Asia and Latin America is meant as retaliation against America for meddling in their affairs, but it goes much deeper than that.
Nicaragua and Cuba were Russian allies during the Cold War. What’s the current motivation behind placing military bases in those countries? In my opinion, Russia is re-establishing itself as a superpower again. She is increasing her influence in our Southern Hemisphere in a greater way for significant reasons.
While we’ve been spending billions on our pre-planned wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and placing substantial and prolonged stress on our military forces and infrastructure, Russia has been steadfastly developing its forces under the radar. Russia is a strong nation, and became much stronger over the last decade; although, our media doesn’t give this subject proper attention. Russia has even built large underground nuclear bunkers and weapons production facilities in the Ural Mountains, clearly intended to function during a nuclear war.
If there is no spiritual repentance unto the Lord Jesus Christ, don’t be surprised, in time, when Russia, along with some of her allies, are on this soil and America under foreign domination. Some will then ponder where was the protection of God?
