Our nation is grounded in lies. Lying pervades our government and media. People are being deceived, and in so many ways, don’t feel the worse for it. In other words, many want to believe the lies. They don’t want to face truth. Many people want to live in a make-believe world, and pretend things are as presented by some politicians and press. That’s because they want to live what they’re being told, given and allowed to participate in.
There’s something about truth, however, because truth is absolute. Eventually, many will be awakened to truth, and it’ll startle them immensely when this occurs. It’ll be like awakening someone out of a stupor, only the truth they’ll face will cause them great dismay and rob them of their pseudo peace.
People have been desensitized to morality and sin in this nation. Many in society believe that freedom of expression sets people free, and it’s the exact opposite. Homosexuality brings people into bondage; it doesn’t set them free. Adultery, drugs or alcohol brings people into bondage, it doesn’t set them free. Sin seems fun for a while, but it eventually takes one further than one wants to go. One always pays the piper for the music, and in many cases, there will be stiff payment.
To follow biblical guidance and morality is what brings real peace and sets people free. As one turns from God, one turns to bondage. As one turns to God, one gets set free. This goes for individuals and nations.
